This traditional style Fair Isle Strawback Chair faithfully reproduces the frame style and knotted back of the early Fair Isle strawbacks.

Over 100 hours work goes into producing each of these heirloom pieces - 50/50 woodworking and straw. I work closely with the talented team at Paparwark in Bigton, who produce the frames from my blue-prints. The tall backs are then crafted at my studio in Lerwick.

Available with or without drawers and in a variety of timbers, with a back of Shetland Aets straw. As bespoke items the prices will vary, depending on timber choice and number of drawers.
